Different Ways to Find New Internal Link Opportunities

Opportunities for internal linking can be found in various ways on Twylu. The main two ways are both on the Optimize page within the tool. Here you can find internal linking opportunities using Google Search Console data, or by using your own custom terms.

1. Using Search Console Data

Twylu will use your Google Search Console integration to pull in the top search terms for each page you’re optimizing. Twylu then looks at the rest of the site for mentions of those terms. It will return these as opportunities, which you can then add as tasks using Twylu’s Tasks feature.

2. Using custom terms

If no opportunities (or very few) are found via Search Console, then custom terms can be utilized. This can be really useful for finding additional terms but also for pages that are new or not getting much traction (and therefore don’t have much data in Search Console). You can use broader but still relevant terms to find a load more opportunities across your site.

3. Using external link data

Thanks to Twylu’s other data views and filters, there are plenty of other ways to look for internal linking opportunities too. For example, from the Overview page, you can go straight to a list of pages with high referring domains. Great potential internal linking opportunities.
